ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski says the omnibus spending bill passed by Congress includes $120 million to build a cybersecurity center at the U.S. Naval Academy.
Mikulski said in a news release Thursday that the bill, signed this week by President Obama, provides funding for a Center for Cyber Security Studies.
The Naval Academy is implementing a new cyber warfare curriculum and a cyber major.
The planned center will include a multi-story academic building with classroom and research labs, offices and lecture halls.
