Semi-truck driver stabbed at truck stop

NAMPA, Idaho (AP) — Police in Nampa say a semi-truck from Oklahoma was stabbed and had to be hospitalized after a man attack him with a knife.

KTVB (http://bit.ly/1z0XMPn) reports that the stabbing occurred just after 11 p.m. Wednesday night at a Nampa truck stop.

Nampa Police Sgt. Joe Ramirez says the 45-year-old male driver stepped out of his truck when he noticed a young man near his vehicle. The suspect then stabbed the trucker in the chest and slashed his forearm.

The driver tells police that he knocked the knife out of other man's hand, which caused the suspect to run away.

Police did not immediately release the driver's name.

The suspect is described as about 5'9 with medium build with no facial hair and around 18-years-old.
