PENSACOLA, Fla (AP) — Members of Pensacola State College faculty have issued a vote of no confidence in the administration of the school's president Edward Meadows.
The Pensacola News Journal reports Saturday (http://on.pnj.com/1p9Jddy ) staff allege Meadows' administration created a culture of fear and intimidation.
Meanwhile, the Pensacola State College Board of Trustees issued its support for Meadows and his administration.
Meadows says he's expected the no confidence vote since he announced the administration was at an impasse with the faculty union over negotiations. Both sides have been negotiating for two years over wages, teaching hours and other related issues.
Faculty Association President Paige Anderson said she and her colleagues are concerned about money that has been spent on administrative offices rather than classrooms.
Bargaining resumes Dec. 1.
