NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. (AP) — Police say a woman is dead after a shooting in the parking lot of a North Las Vegas apartment complex.
Officer Aaron Patty says police were called about 2:30 Thursday morning to a complex on Casa Norte Drive.
They found a 42-year-old North Las Vegas woman with an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to University Medical Center, where she later died.
Her name has not yet been released.
No suspect information was immediately available, but Patty says it appears the people involved knew each other and were in an argument that escalated into a shooting.
