SUWANEE, Ga. (AP) — Extra security and a new way of dismissing students are steps aimed at improving safety after a series of brawls in the hallways of a suburban Atlanta high school.

Video obtained by WSB-TV (http://bit.ly/1ot8Cid) shows Collins Hill High School Principal Kerensa Wing being knocked to the ground as she tries to break up one of the fights.

Another video shows someone being punched in the face repeatedly in a school hallway inside the Suwanee school.

Gwinnett Schools spokeswoman Sloan Roach said students will now be dismissed by hallways, so large groups of students aren't gathering in place.

Student Matthew Hoch tells WSB that he's been walking to class thinking something could happen at any moment. He says he doesn't feel safe, but hopes the situation will change.
