GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — A high school teacher is charged in Brown County with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student.
Investigators say 32-year-old Christopher Wieber pursued a relationship with a girl he had in his biology class last year at Bay Port High School near Green Bay.
WLUK-TV (http://bit.ly/1mb19CX ) says Wieber is charged with sexual assault of a student by school staff and child enticement. A criminal complaint accuses Wieber of kissing the girl on multiple occasions and fondling her at his home in October of last year.
Defense attorney Greg Gerbers says Wieber has no criminal record and there are no allegations involving any other people.
Howard-Suamico School District Superintendent Damian LaCroix says Wieber is no longer employed by the district. He taught at the school since 2007 and was freshmen volleyball coach.
