BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) — Author Diana Gabaldon, known for the "Outlander" series, is coming to Kentucky.
She will be featured at the 17th annual Southern Kentucky Book Fest scheduled for April 18 at Western Kentucky University's Knicely Conference Center.
Gabaldon is not a stranger to college campuses. She has three science degrees and spent a dozen years as a university professor with an expertise in scientific computation before she started writing fiction.
More than 130 authors are planned for the main event, including Chloe Neill, Terry Brooks and Jamie Ford. Children's author Doreen Cronin is expected for Children's Day on April 17.
The Kentucky Writers Conference will also be April 17.
The Book Fest is put on by Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Warren County Public Library and Western Kentucky University Libraries.
