BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Nine college students pursuing careers in the oil and gas industry have received scholarships from the North Dakota Petroleum Council.
The council awarded the $1,000 scholarships since 2008. It increased the number of recipients from five to nine this year.
The winners for the 2014-2015 school year are:
— Yonis Ibrahim Aliyow, studying at the University of North Dakota
— Ashley Bohrer, studying at Bismarck State College
— Jaffer Deane, studying at the University of North Dakota
— William Eerdmans, studying at the University of North Dakota
— Matt Jahner, studying at Bismarck State College
— Kristen Lorenz, studying at North Dakota State University
— Ben Munson, studying at North Dakota State University
— Sean Ternes, studying at North Dakota State University
— Wade Rath-Wald, studying at Bismarck State College
