BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — The Vermont Law School says a funeral for professor Cheryl Hanna is going to be held at the University of Vermont's Ira Allen Chapel.

The service is set for 3 p.m. on Friday.

Vermont Law School President Marc Mihaly says the thoughts and prayers of the community are with Hanna's family.

He says her legacy of leadership, scholarship, advocacy, and service is an inspiration to all.

The 48-year-old Hanna was well known in Vermont's legal community and was a regular contributor to many of the state's media outlets.

She died Sunday.
