WATERLOO, Iowa (AP) — A Waterloo teacher has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a teenage student.
Waterloo police say 32-year-old Daniel Paul Ankrum was arrested Friday on suspicion of misdemeanor sexual exploitation by a school employee. Court records do not list an attorney.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (http://bit.ly/1kjpyFL ) Ankrum is a teacher at East High and coached the school's girls' cross country and track teams. The Waterloo Community School District placed him on administrative leave in April after he was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old female student for several months. He is no longer coaching.
