LAS VEGAS (AP) — Songs, prayers and hugs marked a vigil outside a Las Vegas pizza shop where two police officers were killed by a husband-and-wife who went on a deadly anti-authority rampage during the weekend.
The Las Vegas Sun reports (http://bit.ly/SvvFt1 ) that along with officers Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo, the Monday evening ceremony outside CiCi's Pizza mourned the mid-day Sunday shooting death of Joseph Robert Wilcox.
Wilcox was killed when he tried to stop Jerad and Amanda Miller after they entered a nearby Wal-Mart.
That's where Amanda Miller killed Jared Miller and herself as police closed in.
A letter written in pencil on lined paper under one candle said, "I thank you for risking your life every single day you work. I love you guys for what you do."
