ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — A St. George teacher has been struck and killed by a truck while jogging. Police say Dixie Middle School science teacher Terri Lusk was jogging with a friend when the accident occurred Friday. She died at a St. George hospital. Police Officer Derek Lewis tells The Spectrum of St. George that the male driver stopped, and the glare of the sun is believed to be a factor.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Texas oil company is suing a Utah county over its ordinances imposing restrictions on underground pipelines. Tesoro Corp. wants to build a 135-mile pipeline to carry crude oil from the Uinta Basin to Salt Lake City refineries. But the company alleges Summit County's three new ordinances will block any pipeline in the county.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Organizers of two comic book conventions are clashing. A lawyer for San Diego Comic-Con has issued a cease-and-desist letter to organizers of Utah's Salt Lake Comic Con demanding they stop using "Comic Con" in the name. Salt Lake Comic Con co-founder and show producer Dan Farr says the demand is "baseless" and "frivolous."

UNDATED (AP) __ A Utahn was killed in an accident in Idaho yesterday. The Idaho State Police says that about 3:20 a.m., a crash on Interstate 84 near the Idaho-Utah border killed 60-year-old Mark Beaslin, of Taylorsville, Utah. The ISP says it appears the van driven by a 17-year-old Magna, Utah, teen swerved to avoid an animal and then overturned. Beaslin was ejected and died at a hospital.
