PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — State officials say Raber's Packing Co. of Peoria is recalling 21 pounds of its beef jerky because it was not inspected.
The Illinois Department of Agriculture says the product that has been recalled was sold in 25-ounce bags labeled "Grand Champion Raber's Original Beef Jerky." The package has the number "9'' inside the Illinois mark of inspection and a code of "192."
The beef jerky was produced July 2 and distributed for retail sale in Peoria.
The Agriculture Department's meat and poultry inspector — during a routine inspection — determined the product was not produced correctly.
