Congressman-Video

MONROE, La. (AP) — Republican Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is calling for the resignation of one of his state's GOP congressmen who was videotaped kissing a married woman who is not his wife.

Jindal called Rep. Vance McAllister's behavior "an embarrassment."

The governor said Thursday in a statement that if McAllister wants privacy as he's claimed, "the best way to get privacy and work on putting his family back together is to resign from Congress."

McAllister's office says "as of now, there are no plans of resignation."

McAllister defeated one of Jindal's close allies in the November special election to take the congressional seat.

Jindal's call for resignation joins that of the chairman of the state GOP, Roger Villere, who issued a blistering statement describing McAllister's behavior as "a breach of trust."

Sewage Plant Wedding

WOODINVILLE, Wash. (AP) — A sewage treatment plant near Seattle is advertising its availability as a wedding venue.

The Brightwater Wastewater Treatment Center says on Facebook it has a full catering kitchen, audio-video equipment, dance floor and ample parking.

You could even hold the wedding outside.

The director of the Brightwater Environmental Education and Community Center, Susan Tallarico, tells KIRO (http://bit.ly/1lNmrmk ) that receptions would take place just steps away from where raw sewage is processed. She says there's no odor because all the processing is contained.

The King County plant was finished three years ago but has been available for rent for about seven months.

It costs $2,000 to rent the center for eight hours. One couple has already booked the sewage plant for their nuptials.

Crocodile at Shopping Center

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (AP) — Don't shed any tears for a crocodile that was captured wandering outside a pet store at a Northern California shopping mall.

California Fish and Wildlife officials have taken custody of the croc, are feeding it rainbow trout and will likely donate it to a zoo.

Police say the crocodile was apparently left outside the Roseville store by someone who didn't want it anymore.

The animal had grown to 4-feet long, and its jaws had been wrapped shut with heavy-duty tape. There was a note identifying it as a Nile crocodile and requesting someone "call rescue."

Police say no one was hurt Wednesday when the animal was picked up with the help of a catch pole typically used to nab stray dogs.

Atari Dig

ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (AP) — A search in a New Mexico landfill for a rumored stash of what some call the worst video game ever made by Atari is set to get underway this month.

Microsoft-owned Xbox has announced that a dig of the Alamogordo landfill, where Atari reportedly discarded millions of "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" game cartridges in 1983, is scheduled for April 26.

Xbox officials say the excavation will be open for public viewing.

Xbox and two other entertainment companies are making a documentary about the project.

City officials tell the Alamogordo Daily News (http://bit.ly/R6R3VT) that the city has rights to any discovered games.

"E.T." the video game, inspired by the hit 1982 movie, was a commercial dud said to have contributed to Atari's decline.
