(AP) - PLENTY OF BLAME: An Associated Press-GfK poll found that 62 percent of Americans place the brunt of the blame for the partial government shutdown on Republicans, but about half also said President Barack Obama or the Democrats in Congress bear much responsibility.
TAKING THE HIT: The results affirm expectations by many that the GOP may end up taking the biggest hit in public opinion from the shutdown. But there's plenty of disdain to go around.
NO ONE STANDS TALL: Just 37 percent approve of the way Obama is handling his job. Congress has a ghastly approval rating of 5 percent. Although 68 percent consider the shutdown a serious problem, few have felt any personal effect.
