Police in Chicago say a man who pointed a gun at officers has been shot and killed in the city's South Shore neighborhood. Police say officers heard shots fired just after 10 p.m. and saw a van driving away. A male passenger jumped out of the van and began running. A statement says the man, whose identity and age were not released, pointed a gun at the officers, one of whom opened fire. A weapon was recovered.
