NEW YORK (AP) — The Latest on developments in global financial markets (all times local):

Stocks closed higher on Wall Street, as energy companies rose with the price of oil, while chemicals and mining company shares also gained.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise jumped nearly 7 percent and Computer Sciences Corporation surged 42 percent after HP Enterprise said it will sell its business service unit to CSC for $8.5 billion.
Chesapeake Energy gained over 7 percent as oil prices continued to climb.
Monsanto also rose after Bayer said it's committed to completing its acquisition of the company.
The Dow Jones industrial average rose 145 points, or 0.8 percent, to 17,852. The Standard and Poor's 500 index rose 14 points , or 0.7 percent, to 2,090. The Nasdaq composite climbed 34 points, or 0.7 percent, to 4,895.
Bond prices fell. The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note rose to 1.87 percent from 1.86 percent.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 152 points, or 0.9 percent, to 17,857. The Standard and Poor's 500 index rose 13 points , or 0.6 percent, to 2,089. The Nasdaq composite climbed 26 points, or 0.5 percent, to 4,886.
Bond prices rose. The yield on the 10-year U.S. Treasury note dipped to 1.85 percent from 1.86 percent.
