MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) — There's a new place to get fruit, vegetables and other fresh food at Central Michigan University.

The Morning Sun of Mount Pleasant reports (http://bit.ly/1GvPZh0 ) vendors set up shop in a field on campus Tuesday for the new student-run farmers market.

A student group called Campus Grow is behind the effort. Co-president Claire Gudhrie says the group's focus is on gardening and sustainability. The market comes after they organized a one-day mini-market last year where vegetables and baked goods were sold.

Campus Grow collaborated with nonprofit Real Food Grows Inc. to get the Mount Pleasant school's approval for the market.

Additional market days are planned this month.
