GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — The head of a major unmanned aircraft systems company is making his second trip to North Dakota to tour area colleges and other facilities associated with drone development.
Linden P. Blue is the CEO of General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., which has tentatively selected Grand Forks as a site to conduct unmanned aircraft pilot training.
Blue's visit on Wednesday is scheduled to include tours of the University of North Dakota, Lake Region State College, Northland Community and Technical College, Northern Plains UAS Test Site, Grand Forks Air Force Base and Grand Sky business park. Blue first came to the state in July.
General Atomics is a leading manufacturer of unmanned aircraft, tactical reconnaissance radars and surveillance systems.
Rep. Kevin Cramer of North Dakota is leading the tour.
