LAS VEGAS (AP) — Wynn Resorts Ltd.'s second-quarter earnings increased 57 percent, bolstered by strong results in Las Vegas. The casino operator's adjusted profit topped analysts' estimates. Las Vegas revenue increased 12.5 percent, helped by a strong gain in casino revenue and higher revenue from rooms, food and drinks. Revenue in Macau — the only place in China where gambling is legal — rose 3 percent.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The long parade of tourists who regularly stop by the downtown Las Vegas shop featured on the History Channel reality show "Pawn Stars" could soon have something better to do while waiting in line. Gold & Silver Pawn Shop co-owner Rick Harrison has drawn up plans for a Pawn Star Plaza shopping center that could boast six restaurants and about 16 small shops.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A former Clark County School District administrator has pleaded not guilty to charges that she stole nearly $300,000 from an Adult English Language Acquisition program. Priscilla Rocha is accused of falsifying time cards and directing the money to co-defendants. She's also accused of buying computer equipment with district money and giving it to schools in Mexico.

RENO, Nev. (AP) — A Nevada cowboy has moved to the top of the Pro Rodeo money list for team roping. Jade Corkhill of Fallon has earned $85,000 this year as a team roping heeler. Clay O'Brien Cooper of Gardnerville is 16th on that list with $34,000. The all-around leader is Trevor Brazile of Texas with $179,000.
