It says more than 75 percent of that loss is groundwater.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — A UNLV regent and stadium board member is suggesting a sales tax increase to finance construction of a new stadium for the school. James Dean Leavitt says the university, the resort industry and all of Clark County would reap the benefits of a stadium. Opponents at a stadium board meeting said raising the sales tax would disproportionately hurt people on fixed incomes.

Oregon State Police say 64-year-old Glen McCoy was killed on Interstate 84 near Boardman when he was run over by a pickup truck driven by another construction worker.
