Utahns willing to water less to get crops, not homes on prime farmland

A new poll shows that Utah residents resoundingly place high value on locally produced crops and other food, with a significant majority who indicate they'd water their lawns less, or favor new water projects rather than taking water from farmland.

A Unified Police officer was injured Wednesday night when a fleeing vehicle hit him on state Route 201 near Bangerter Highway. The injured officer was apparently attempting to stop the vehicle with tire spikes when he was hit.
