NORTH SALT LAKE -- A North Salt Lake home went up in flames Sunday night.
Fire officials said a neighbor saw flames shooting from the side of the house near 100 South and David Way, and called 911.
By the time crews arrived, the fire had spread throughout the first floor and into the attic.
The South Davis Metro Fire Agency said crews had some difficulty putting the fire out because water from the hydrants was freezing due to very low temperature.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
The home has been deemed a total loss. Officials are still investigating a cause.
