Snow College unveils statue in honor of namesakes
November 6th, 2009 @ 10:28am

EPHRAIM -- On the 121st anniversary of the school's founding, Snow College unveiled a sculpture of the school's namesakes.

A bronze sculpture of former LDS President Lorenzo Snow, along with his cousin, Elder Erastus Snow, honors the two men.

The sculpture was created by Brad Taggart, an art professor at Snow College.

The statue stands in the college's new Heritage Plaza, in between the college's administration building and a new state of the art library, which is currently under construction and scheduled to open next year.

The monument was dedicated by Elder Steven E. Snow, a descendant of Erastus Snow and a member of the Presidency of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
