Kory Katseanes was attending a summer
music academy when he had an epiphany of sorts.
Having come rather late to the pursuit of music, he found
himself surrounded by younger students.

This is a great story. It is too bad the KSL web headline writer forgot the difference between "led" (past tense of "to lead") and "lead" (the heavy metal used in fishing lures and tire weights).
I suspect that Kory was guided to conducting, but not weighted down by it ...
