SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah (AP) -- Former TV pitchman "Super Dell" Schanze has been sentenced to 10 days in jail after being found guilty of reckless driving and seat-belt violations.
Schanze, who represented himself in his trial in Saratoga Springs Justice Court on Friday also was fined $670 and given a two-year unsupervised probation.
Judge Keith Stoney said Schanze's driving on Aug. 18, 2008, was reckless enough to cause a state motor vehicle inspector to run off the road for fear of being hit.
Police say he was weaving with children in his car.
Schanze is known for his over-the-top personal style and the shrill, hyperactive TV commercials that advertised his one-time Totally Awesome Computers retail chain.
He's had various run-ins with police, each time claiming he was being singled out for harassment.
