SANDY, Utah (AP) -- Police say a 2-year-old boy has died after being run over by a pickup truck in a driveway.
Sandy police say the boy was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but died soon after.
Police say the boy was in the grass next to the driveway of a home Sunday night when his father was backing out of the driveway in a pickup truck and ran over the toddler.
Sandy police Sgt. Jon Arnold says the child's mother had just gone inside and there was some confusion over who was in charge of watching the boy.
The boy's name has not been released.
