SALT LAKE CITY -- Two women are recovering today after being hit while riding their bicycles.
The first incident happened near 600 South and 200 West when a driver leaving a parking lot hit the biker who was riding on the sidewalk.
She was not wearing a helmet and was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
About a half hour later, a second cyclist was hit by a car as she rode through the intersection at 700 South and 1100 East. She suffered some cuts and bruises.
The driver was later cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
