The Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office has charged Luka Wall Kang with 12 counts of aggravated assault. May 15th, 2009 @ 3:51pm

@McPaddyD - KSL must be getting tight on the freedom of speech thing? hummm It must go against KSL' political views. hummm..
@Chris H. - are all the post that KSL deleted. They cut the number of comment to less that half what it was this morning.
@Nevada Kid - It was a bunch of racial slurs and "jokes" as the bloggers liked to call them. They didn't reflect well upon KSL or the community and I'm personally glad they were removed.

@Stevertodd - after a trip to wal-mart. After one grocery trip I am racist for about 30 minutes - against all races.
How many pictures have we seen of vehicles rammed into convenience stores because the driver confused the brake and accelerator? And then, in panic, the drivers usually stomped down harder causing the vehicle to go faster. This happens all the time. People who have done this are a cross section of the population, ---- different ages, different races. I wonder if he didn't run into the wall deliberately because he couldn't stop the car any other way.

what his race is. The fact that he ran these kids down intentionally is the point. If he did it that way, this gentleman (and I use that term loosly) deserves to be punished very, very harshly.

Even if kids are taunting and throwing rocks, it is not okay to run kids over with a car. He could have kept going and been out of range within seconds, then notified authorities of the kid's actions.
I feel badly for everyone involved.
And, I believe if it were a photo of a ghostly white guy, everyone would be making fun if that as well.

@eldermisanthropy - My favorite is when Kang impregnates Marge with that "flashlight" and then goes "ohh look at the time, I'll call ya."
This guy is an idiot, hopefully he doesn't get out anytime soon. Otherwise someone may try to run him down as long as its not at night.
I can understand and in fact I share the outrage against an individual who has committed a horrendous, inexcusable act of violence. However, I find the blatant racist comments equally offensive. Every time I believe we have made progress as a society and a community, comments such as this prove otherwise. This isn't about lightening up or being able to take a joke. This is about common human decency. Some things are either so sacred or so serious that they are not fodder for humor. Given our country's sorry history of lynchings, burnings and terror directed at individuals based on their race, racism is one of these.
@Jerry C. - children were interned in white ran boarding schools. Did it change their racism towards whites? Generations of Africans were sold by their own people to whites as slaves for money, held for slaves for generations. Did that change their racism towards whites? Mexicans are invading this country via illegal immigration, with the help of leaders of Mexican decent in this country, and whites don’t like the culture they are forcing on us. Mexicans don’t want to be “Americans” is that racism? Anyone who is a world traveler has seen racism first hand from every race they have encountered. American leaders have tried to socially engineer a diverse country, but the cold hard truth is most neighborhoods fall mostly along ethnic lines in this country, if that is not racism what is?

Crimes should be prosecuted regardless of race or other factors. Anger doesn't justify running over anybody for sure.
Get a load of this, the D.A.'s office and all these female, politically correct prosecutors, who all stick together, are claiming that there "wasn't enough intent" to charge him with either attempted murder OR a hate crime. REALLY!? Not enough intent? I asked her how many MORE kids did he need to run down without slowing down before it would be attempted murder. I said that a 3000 lb weapon on a sidewalk sure as he ll sounds like intent to kill in my book, as well as most other people with common sense (who ever said prosecutors had a drop of common sense).

The guy deserves his day in court. And I think he could use a mental evaluation. No one in their right mind would run down school aged kids unless there is some kind of mental illness.
