SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Two leaders from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints leaders will be among the nation's religious leaders who attend Wednesday's national prayer service at the Washington National Cathedral.

President Dieter F. Uchtdorf and Elder M. Russell Ballard were invited to attend the service by President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden. The two represented the 13 million-member church in Washington for Obama's inauguration.

The prayer service provides an opportunity for the new president and vice president to meet with dignitaries from various faiths to commemorate the inauguration with prayer, music and readings.
