An accused kidnapper is pretty sure he's not a kidnapper since he was just holding the guy he was beating up.
Attorneys for Trevor Powell say holding onto the victim's arm while punching him should amount to an assault, not kidnapping. But the prosecutor says Powell pulled the man out of a car, "exposing him to risk of bodily injury" -- the definition of a kidnapping.
Powell is accused of taking the victim to a parking lot in American Fork where he was beaten and stabbed.
