(KSL News) An Ogden woman thought she found a camel spider from the Middle East scurrying across her living room floor. She took a picture and sent it to an extension agent to see if it could be identified.

It turns out, what she found is actually native to Utah.

An agriculture extension agent for Weber and Morgan counties, James Barnhill, took a look and determined the unwelcome night visitor was actually something called a wind scorpion. It can be about 1.5 to 2 inches long, while the camel spider can reach up to 6 inches long.

According Barnhill, it isn't technically a spider or a scorpion.
