Military helicopters precede Pres. Bush's visit
May 27th, 2008 @ 8:43am

Mary Richards reporting

Don't be surprised if you see military helicopters hovering overhead. They are here preparing for President Bush's visit to Utah this week.

It's an impressive sight and sound: As many as five large military helicopters all painted to look like Marine One have been spotted and heard over Salt Lake and Park City during the past few days.

Marine One is the craft used by the president of the United States.

Park City police say the choppers are checking out the route President Bush may take from Salt Lake to Summit County tomorrow. The Park Record reports the Secret Service contacted Park City's police chief Sunday evening to notify him of a flyover.

President Bush will be in Salt Lake for a fundraising luncheon Wednesday afternoon. He'll be at Mitt Romney's Deer Valley home for an evening reception, also raising money for John McCain.
