(KSL News) Four years ago, The Salt Lake Tribune took Sandy City to court, fighting for the release of public records. Sandy tried to keep the paper from obtaining information about the bonuses it pays to city employees, but a Utah Supreme Court ruling determined Sandy had to heed a public information request.
The Tribune's reporting revealed some of the city's highest-ranking officials, like Mayor Tom Dolan, were receiving the largest bonuses.
Tribune reporter Matthew LaPlante and attorney Mark Tolman joined us to discuss this court battle in Talking Point tonight.
