SUGAR HOUSE — Police are investigating a reported stabbing after a man showed park-goers apparent stab wounds in Fairmont Park, police say.
At about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, police were called to Fairmont Park at 1049 Sugarmont Dr. to a reported stabbing, according to Lt. Kendrick of the Salt Lake Police Department. Gage English rode into the park on a bicycle, told park-goers he had been stabbed by a stranger and showed witnesses what appeared to be stab wounds, Kendirck said.
English, who Kendrick said is about 20 years old, was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Kendrick said English could not describe the person who stabbed him. Other witnesses said they saw English talk to someone, but they could not see if anything happened, nor could they describe the person.
The incident is under investigation. More information will be posted when it's available.
