PRESTON, Idaho — Police have identified a man who walked into a hospital last week exhibiting signs of amesia.
After performing an analysis of the man's fingerprints, Idaho State Police identified him as Thomas Allen McCracken, a statement from Preston City administrators announced Wednesday.
On July 31, McCraken showed up at Franklin County Medical Center exhibiting symptoms of amnesia. He gave officers from the Preston Police Department a Colorado ZIP code, but the authorities they spoke with in Colorado did not have any information about him.
In addition to submitting fingerprints to state police, investigators in Preston contacted several media outlets over the weekend and asked them share his photo with the public.
McCraken is “currently at the Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho, and is still suffering from reported amnesia,” the statement from Preston City said. His family members were notified of his whereabouts.
