IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Experts say a dinosaur fossil bed in eastern Idaho containing some 200 specimens could be the most important such site in the state.
Retired paleontologist Steve Robison tells KIFI-TV in a story on Monday that he and L.J. Krumenacker have found four or five new species over the last year.
Robinson says three have been officially named.
Krumenacker is a doctoral student at Montana State University.
He says many of the fossils are from smaller dinosaurs but that's also what makes them so rare.
The paleontologists say the fossils are in what was once a river bed.
The two plan to continue searching for more fossils over the next several years.
