CEDAR CITY (AP) — A 31-year-old Cedar City man has been arrested on charges accusing him of repeatedly sexually assaulting a young girl over a period of four years.
The Spectrum reports police arrested Christopher Brett Young after he waived his Miranda rights and agreed to an interview with investigators last weekend.
Charging documents indicate Young started assaulting the child when she was 5 or 6 years old and had threatened to harm her if she told anyone.
He's been booked into the Iron County Correctional Facility on seven first-degree felony charges, including three counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, three counts of sodomy of a child and one count of rape of a child.
