ST. GEORGE – A drug deal went south after a struggle over a gun Wednesday.
Just after 7 p.m., two men met for a prearranged meeting for a drug transaction in the parking lot of a Walgreens located at 391 W. St. George Boulevard. The two were in a vehicle together when one produced a firearm, St. George police said.
The two struggled, causing the firearm to discharge in the vehicle. The bullet went through the vehicle’s rear window and struck a building. Nobody was injured, police said.
One man remained on the premises and is cooperating with police.
Fred C. Wesberry, St. George, has been named by police as a person of interest in the case.
