ST. GEORGE — Police are looking for a man who brandished a weapon and robbed a Maverik store located at 2078 E. Riverside Drive Thursday.
The man allegedly pointed a semi-automatic handgun at the store clerk and demanded money from the register.
The clerk deposited money in a black bag with a large white star on it. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. Police said the clerk was unharmed in the incident and there were no other witnesses.
Police described the man as a light skinned male with a thin build, approximately 5 feet 6 inches who speaks with an accent. He was wearing dark clothing, a black and white beanie cap and a red bandana tied around his face.
