SALT LAKE CITY— Law enforcement agencies are using the backdrop of the first University of Utah football game to send an important message before the Labor Day Weekend.

The goal is to prevent drunk driving over the weekend, and since many people will be grilling over the weekend, they have created a series of DUI prevention barbecue sauces with catchy names like "Drive Sauced, get busted: Warden Ted's Orange Jumpsuit BBQ sauce" and "Ted's Sweet jailhouse Hickory BBQ Sauce."

Officers handed out more than 2,000 bottles to fans who committed not to drink and drive.

The sauces are named after Sgt. Ted Tingey with the Utah Highway Patrol. Tingey said they wanted to get creative and pass out the sauces before the game.

Officers from several different agencies carried boxes of sauce and spatulas imprinted with the words "drive sober or get pulled over" to the tailgating lot; the fans said they really liked the idea and crowded around the officers as they came by.

Labor Day weekend is ranked 2nd as the holiday with the most DUI incidents on Utah roads.
