MILLCREEK — Police are looking for a man who threatened two women at gunpoint while trying to rob a store.

The women are employees of the Dollar Tree at 3344 S. 1300 East. Police said the two were closing the store around 11 p.m. Monday when a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt, a bandana over his face and latex gloves ordered them back inside the store.

Police said he pointed a gun at the women and told them to open the store's safe.

The employees complied, but the store's alarm went off when they opened the safe. The would-be robber fled.

Police searched the area and found some of his clothes but are still looking for him. A detailed description was not initially provided.
