UTAH COUNTY — Four people are injured following a car accident in Israel Canyon near Saratoga Springs. Police said one of the injured is in critical condition due to serious head injuries sustained in the rollover accident.
All four occupants of the vehicle were wearing their seat belts, but due to the rocky terrain serious injuries occurred, police said. Two men and two women were in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
Sgt. Spencer Cannon with the Utah County Sheriff's Office said police are investigating if alcohol played a part in the accident. Cannon said the vehicle was going down a narrow switchback area when the rollover occurred.
Somehow the vehicle lost control on the switchbacks and rolled multiple times.
