SALT LAKE CITY — Fire crews extinguished a fire at an abandoned triplex house Sunday afternoon.

The fire occurred at 1005 W. Fremont Avenue. Police said the home is a known hangout for local transients, but no one was in the house at the time of the fire.

There are no permanent residents living at the house. Police said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
