SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - More than 3,000 Rocky Mountain Power customers are still without power after equipment problems Monday morning.

Utility officials say crews are working on repairs to equipment serving the affected customers in east and south Salt Lake City.

Officials initially said electricity would be restored by 10:30 a.m. They now say they're hoping to finish repairs Monday afternoon.

About 600 other customers in Syracuse were without power Monday morning, but crews restored service within a few hours.
