MILLCREEK — A bicyclist is in critical condition after a collision with a U.S. Postal Service truck Friday.
The mail truck was headed north on 800 East about 12:15 p.m., and as it crossed through the intersection at 3300 South, a man headed west on a bicycle collided with the right front corner of the vehicle, Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal said.
The bicyclist had the right of way, Hoyal said. The driver reported he never saw the cyclist coming.
The man was hospitalized with critical head injuries, Hoyal said. Initial reports indicated he wasn't wearing a helmet.
The man's name was not immediately released Friday. The crash is under investigation, Hoyal said.
