NORTH SALT LAKE — A train derailment caused delays for FrontRunner from North Salt Lake to Davis County Tuesday morning.

Three cars jumped the tracks not far from 1100 North and 1100 West in North Salt Lake but remained upright. A total of six cars were on the train.

Union Pacific officials said the tank cars were empty but typically haul alcohol.

The train did not block any crossings but it did cause UTA delays.

A bus bridge was in place for FrontRunner passengers between Clearfield and North Temple. One train was running from Woods Cross to Ogden.
