SALT LAKE CITY — A woman who had been missing since Friday morning was found safe Saturday afternoon.

Police said Linda Jensen, 65, was located near 1700 North and Redwood Road about 2 p.m. Saturday. A resident of the area saw her and reported her location to police, who found her playing cards on the porch of an abandoned house.

She had water with her and was in good condition, police said. Jensen was reunited with family and caregivers Saturday afternoon.

Jensen went missing Friday morning from a care facility at 1001 N. Featherstone Drive.

Her son, Brian Baker, said she had recently began taking a new medication, and that it may have impacted her behavior.

Police were especially concerned about the timing of Jensen's disappearance due to the extremely hot weather the area experienced. According to the the National Weather Service, Saturday's temperature of 104 degrees tied the record high temperature for the date, which was set in 1979.
