PAGE, Ariz. — The body of the second of two women missing in Lake Powell since a fatal boating accident five days ago was recovered Tuesday.

Kane County Emergency Services announced about 11:40 a.m. that the body of Jessica Jackman, 22, was recovered and being transported back to the Wahweap Marina.

Jackman was located in 407 feet of water "in the same general area as the debris from the boat and where Valerie Bradshaw was located," according to rescuers.

The Summit County Sheriff Office's dive team was asked to assist in the operation and arrived at the lake early Tuesday. Officials say a joint effort between Summit County Search and Rescue, the Utah Department of Public Safety Dive Team and the Lake Powell Dive Team resulted in Jackman's body being recovered relatively quickly Tuesday.

The Summit County Dive Team has a robotic arm similar to the one the Lake Powell Dive Team typically uses, but it was being repaired the past couple of days.

Jackman, along with her mother, Marilyn Jackman, 57, of South Jordan, and Valerie Rae Bradshaw, 29, of Sandy, were killed when the motorboat they were riding in collided with a houseboat near Dangling Rope Marina about 9:15 a.m. Thursday.

Marilyn Jackman's body was recovered immediately. Bradshaw's body was discovered Sunday night, about 340 feet under the water.

The motorboat was carrying a total of 13 people — seven adults and six children. Adrian Jackman, 59, Marilyn Jackman's husband, was driving when the accident happened. The sheriff's office said Jackman "may have been temporarily distracted by the movement of some of the children" and did not see the houseboat until it was too late. He attempted to swerve out of the way, but the passenger side of the motorboat struck the houseboat.

No one on the houseboat was injured.

Jackman and his 11-year-old granddaughter were flown by medical helicopter to a hospital in Flagstaff, Ariz., right after the accident, and a third person was transported by boat and then by ambulance to a hospital in Page, Ariz. All three were released that night.

Crews that were searching for the missing women were free Tuesday afternoon to help with an unrelated search on Lake Powell that started Monday. About 1 p.m., a 61-year-old man was presumed to have drowned near the entrance to Warm Creek Bay. He was still missing as of Tuesday afternoon.
