PALM HARBOR, Fla. — A Florida sheriff's deputy recently wrangled an alligator that was snapping at people in a parking lot.
Police received a call at shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday reporting a reptile snapping at cars outside a dentist's office in Palm Harbor, northwest of Tampa. Sheriff's deputies and officers from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded to the call, according to WFLA.
Pinellas County Deputy Jeff Crandall saw the alligator wandering into the road before an alligator trapper arrived and took action, according to Fox Tampa Bay. He wrangled the 10-foot-long alligator and tied it up with rope, taping its mouth shut.
A wildlife conservation officer took the alligator to an animal facility.
